Dr. Hans Schlecht, DO

Dr. Hans Schlecht, DO is a Board-Certified anesthesiologist with over 25 year's of experience in the medical field. He received his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and completed his residency at University of Michigan Hospital. He spent most of his career serving as the Medical Director and Chief of Anesthesia at the Aurora Healthcare Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Dr. Schlecht has diverse and extensive experience in multiple areas of medicine. In addition to his full-time responsibilities in anesthesia, he has directed an aesthetics clinic and served as a Team Physician for USA Figure Skating. In 2014, he was assigned as the Team Physician for the Winter Olympic games in Sochi, Russia.

Dr. Schlecht has had a lifelong interest in health and fitness. He was the founder of the Fitness Inventory Clinic at the University of Illinois. To this day he remains and avid runner and triathlete. He was named a USA Triathlon All-American on several occasions and is a two-time iron distance (140.6 mile) triathlon champion.
